For the price, this place is absolutely insane. On Monday nights, they have $1.50 margaritas and $8 enchilada plates. While the margarita is basically a sno-cone (premixed) the food is pretty decent.

I ordered the Aggie special and it was a great balance of everything. The best damn thing was the tamale! Wow! The beans had wonderful flavor while the rice could use more seasoning. Overall my mother and I ate for $22.39 and we ordered quite a bit!

This is my favorite TexMex restaurant in College Station!  Looks can be deceiving since it's a hole in the wall restaurant attached to a gas station, but you should definitely look past the aesthetics and give the place a try.  Their salsa and chips are perfect and if you can get the green sauce before they run out, it's great too!
The beef fajita stuffed avocado plate is top notch and made for people with big appetites.
The Aggie special is a favorite as well with a little of everything for those who have a hard time choosing one item.
As an added bonus, all their tortillas are stamped with the ATM logo!
Definitely make this place one of your stops next time you visit Aggieland!

I have been coming to Polly's for my whole life in college station (20 years) with my family. The food has always been consistent. I love the family atmosphere here with all the pictures on the wall. I have always been a huge fan of the Texas A&M logo on the tortillas, which have remained true for my whole life. I generally just go for the basic enchiladas which are very comforting to eat and are delicious. The tacos and carne asada are also amazing as well. This place does get pretty crowded as it is small and in a gas station, but it's worth it. Thank you Polly's Cocina for being a constant source of joy to me and my family for all these years.

This was a fairly pleasant experience during our last visit to College Station. We called in an order for six people just before the dinner rush on a Sunday.

They told us it would be approximately fifteen minutes, which is very reasonable. Considering we ordered a mix of a la carte items and meals, the total was very reasonable as well, coming in just under $50.

Overall, the prices are pretty cheap. The portions match the price for the meals. There was plenty of food to go around and I was too full to finish my taco plate.

The building surprised me. I didn't realize this was a sit down restaurant next to the Shell. From previously driving by, I thought they were connected and that this was a taqueria or a fast casual place. They also had a drive thru window I hadn't seen from the road.

The staff wasn't friendly. We were barely spoken to and nobody smiled while we were there. That was a turn off.

The food actually exceeded expectations though. Sorry for the lack of pictures, we were too hungry. I heard the enchiladas were good and the shrimp was as well. The chicken was the least liked, I was told it had a boiled consistency and was okay at best.

My beef tacos were surprisingly flavorful and well seasoned. The rice and beans were above average. The flour tortillas were a good size and generously filled. It was a very satisfying meal. I would recommend the beef for your protein!

Overall, food and service comes to 3 1/2 stars for me. I'm rounding up because the food should always be the main factor. This wasn't a perfect experience, but they did exceed my expectations for the area. I don't think I will ever dine in based on my experience, but I would call in an order again or try their drive thru.
